Kamonande, Apr 2022

A breeding resident. Common and widespread across the Waterberg, less frequent in the surrounding thorn savanna (61% in, 39% out; recorded in 79% of the Waterberg pentads); frequents open woodland where the ground layer is bare or shortly cropped grass; occurs singly or in pairs. Breeds in summer. Frequently places its nest in the same tree as the nest of a Fork-tailed Drongo, presumably to take advantage of the aggressive behaviour of these birds towards potential nest predators.
