Kromkloof, Jan 2019

Marakele National Park, Mar 2018
A breeding resident. An isolated population of this southern African endemic is resident in the scattered stands of Protea roupelliae that occur in the Waterberg, mostly in the high-lying open country around Marakele National Park and also east of this at 1800m on the farms Doornkom and Kromkloof; occurs in scattered groups which probably move about locally in response to flower-nectar availability. Breeds in late summer.
