A summer visitor, present between Aug and Mar. Uncommon; recorded widely but very sparsely across the Waterberg (recorded in 19% of the Waterberg pentads); in both open and wooded country; mostly single birds. It perhaps breeds in the Waterberg but evidence is lacking.
