A non-breeding summer visitor from tropical Africa, present between late Nov and Mar. Regularly present but uncommon and localised in occurrence (recorded in 7% of the Waterberg pentads); mostly in open country; in small groups, often encountered perched conspicuously on telephone or high tension lines.
