A breeding summer visitor, present mainly between Nov and May. Common and widespread across the Waterberg, much less frequent in the surrounding thorn savanna (75% in, 25% out; recorded in 78% of the Waterberg pentads); it is seasonal in its occurrence in the Waterberg – where they come from or where they go to between Jun and Oct is unknown; often in small flocks when they arrive, pairs separate during Jan-Mar to breed.
