Acrocephalus schoenobaenus | Sedge Warbler | Europese Vleisanger

Lephalale, Dec 2019

Lephalale, Apr 2016

A non-breeding summer visitor from the Palearctic, present between Nov and Mar. A scarce, localised aquatic warbler so far recorded from just one or two wetlands in the Waterberg (recorded in 1.3% of the Waterberg pentads); solitary and skulking, it is probably much overlooked; usually detected from hearing its chattering warbling song.
