A non-breeding summer visitor from the Palearctic, present from Nov to Mar. Rare, very sparsely recorded in the Waterberg (recorded in 8% of the Waterberg pentads); favours open country, especially agricultural landscapes; gregarious, it is also usually associated with small flocks of Amur Falcons.
