Rooms
The lodge’s ten luxury, rooms are spaced along the majestic Mokolo River to reveal splendid river views and make for a very personal stay while on a luxury African safari stay. This is where couples, families and friends come together to reconnect with one another and Mother Nature.
Each en-suite room has an African theme and can accommodate two people, in either a double or twin beds dressed in white linen and African throws. There’s air conditioning for summer and heated underblankets to keep the cold at bay on winter nights. Everything and more than you’d expect in a luxury safari lodge is here including a lock-up safe. Earthy colours, leather and wood finishes give the suites an understated elegance.
The hub
The communal areas of the lodge allow for excellent views of the river and surrounding plains.
An intimate library nestles under a thatched roof. The fireplace ensures a warm and cosy atmosphere during cooler winter evenings. It’s the perfect place to sink into a comfortable sofa, while enjoying refreshments from the Bar.
Relax in the bar and lounge nestled under a large vaulted thatched roof with open sides, which create a welcome breeze in summer.
The deck is the ideal place to relax after an eventful day in the bush. A place to spend some lovely times exchanging stories with your family, friends, fellow guests and hosts. To cool off at the lodge, slip into the pool with views across the plains with their ever-present herds of wildlife. Then sun-dry on the loungers before taking a lazy nap in the shade under a wide canvas umbrella.
Dining
The Safari atmosphere is carried through to meals. Breakfast and lunch are served under a canopy of thatch or on the deck, while dinner is usually enjoyed in the rustic outdoor boma, around a roaring open fire (depending on the weather, dinner may also be served indoors). This is true African-style dining in a luxury safari lodge setting, with the roar of lions and the calls of jackals and nightjars as natural background music.
